After the release of an ad found on the company’s YouTube channel, LG has officially announced the G Pad 8.3 ahead of IFA 2013 in Berlin. The Korean electronics giant has placed this tablet as the next feat in its newly launched “G Series’, the first G device is the LG G2.
The G Pad 8.3 has 1920 x 1200 WUXGA Full HD Screen. LG claims that it is the best display on a tablet of its size i.e. 8 inches. It has a Snapdragon 600 Quad-Core processor clocked at 1.7GHz. The slate packs a 4,600 mAh battery and runs on Android 4.2.2 Jellybean – not 4.3. It accords 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. It weighs about 338 grams and is 8.33 mm thick.
The version of Android running on this tablet is obviously customized by LG. It features enhancements such as QPair and QSlide. QPair allows you to connect your phone with the G Pad And see incoming calls and messages. Although you can’t take calls on the tablet itself, you can respond to them in texts. QSlide allows the user to control three apps at once. The G Pad offers several other enhancements as well.
The pricing for the tablet hasn’t been announced yet. But according to LG, the G Pad 8.3 will start to roll out globally in Q4 and will be available in two colors, black and white. And I can say this beyond doubt that homeshopping.pk will be the first to deliver to Pakistan!
